INNER FENDER REPAIR
Inner fender repairs are no fun. Rust found in this area is the
result of a poor design, the seam retains moisture and destroys
both the inner fender and fender itself. The following pictures
show an extensive rust problem that only professional sandblasting
could remove.

Bad photo. After sandblasting there were several holes to deal with. In order to repair them I needed to either make a few "L" shaped metal pieces or find a donor car to cut them out of. I went back to Dr. Mopar and cut three feet of the same section from a Duster. I then cut smaller pieces I needed from that and welded them in.
Another shot of the same section after some bondo and some black paint. The black paint is temporary (moisture protection) as it will all be sanded off at a later date when I paint the engine compartment the body color. This will probably be done next year when I swap this 318 for a 360.
